If you feel either a little confused or overwhelmed by the large number of information given regarding the whole process of setting up of an internet blog, than you are not alone. I know how you feel and I mean it, because I felt the same. Therefore I came up with an idea of creating this little tutorial. It’s called WordPress Basics and consists of several parts. In each part of this tutorial I’m trying to explain how to deal with WP Dashboard settings. I’m not writing about everything but only about the most important issues. I hope it will provide a little help for you.
Before you start to do anything with WP you have to first log into WordPress Dashboard. And of course, after finishing doing whatever you planed to do, you need to log out. That’s pretty obvious. I’m sure, you will agree with me. In WordPress Basics part 1. I’m going to show you how to do both of these things mantioned above.
How to log in

After finishing WP installation via Fantastico tool in HostGator cPanel, you can click direct link to the admin area (red arrow indicates the link).:

Now you are inside WP Dashboard. There are different functions listed from top to bottom on the left side. I’m explaining (in various parts of WordPress Basics) only the most important things associated with them.:
How to log out
Once you get inside WP Dashboard you can do variety of different things, described in following parts of this tutorial. After finishing your job you have to log out. To do so, just go to upper, right hand corner, hover your mouse over your nickname and click Log Out.:
